Editorial Reviews

Editorial Reviews

“John Mayall had the wisdom, the insight, the foresight, and the vision to let Eric Clapton do his thing. Turning the guitar up that loud was radical at the time! After that, we were all Mayall fans. He’s a big, big hero of ours.” Stevie Van Zandt, E Street Band/Disciples of Soul

Captivating

Here is truly an engrossing listen as the blues legend shares his life of music as well as the storied early years that gave him his tenacious drive to be the best. Not realizing the degree of admiration he deserved, yet making a lot of money, John’s association with so many greats, e.g., Clapton, Fleetwood, Taylor to name but a few, puts him in a class of his own. Still making the concert tours while in his very senior years, he just might outlive us all. With so many bios around that fall short, this one, as read by Joel Melver, is to respect and revere.
