A debut thriller that channels Gone Girl, from the newest writer to watch, Catherine Ryan Howard The day Adam Dunne’s girlfriend, Sarah, fails to return from a Barcelona business trip, his perfect life begins to fall apart. Days later, the arrival of her passport and a note that reads “I’m sorry—S” sets off real alarm bells. He vows to do whatever it takes to find her. Adam is puzzled when he connects Sarah to a cruise ship called the Celebrate—and to a woman, Estelle, who disappeared from the same ship in eerily similar circumstances almost exactly a year before. To get answers, Adam must confront some difficult truths about his relationship with Sarah. He must do things of which he never thought himself capable. And he must try to outwit a predator who seems to have found the perfect hunting ground.

Good enough to finish
- At many points in the story I found myself having to go back and listen again thinking I may have missed some details. I didn't. This book is good enough. Don't get me wrong, the story was engaging enough and made me excited to hear more. However, the set up feels too long and drawn out and the ending was a bit anticlimactic. This would a good listen for a road trip where you can zone out on scenery when you get bored. Don't hold your breath. As for the narration, the Irish fella does as good a job he can as the voice of the main character who is at times a bit whiny and hard to relate to.

Great debut novel
- Many twists and turns, aided by always engaging narrators.

Amazing Read
- I listen to this book and was engrossed in it from the beginning to end , yes it was that good !! The narration is second to none , however the story itself is so thrilling could not put it down. The story takes place in the small Irish town of Cork and leads straight away to the ship , the twists and turns are so complex that I hate to give any of it away. A man's girlfriend goes on holiday and he having just sold his first big time screen play has to stay home to do a rewrite and she needs to go on the trip for work ( or so she's says ) this is the jumping off point and the story just goes from one umm now I got it moment to the next. I could not guess the ending and neither will you. Give it a go you'll be glad you did :)
