The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first, Lo’s stay is nothing but pleasant: the cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, gray skies fall, and Lo witnesses what she can only describe as a dark and terrifying nightmare: a woman being thrown overboard. The problem? All passengers remain accounted for—and so, the ship sails on as if nothing has happened, despite Lo’s desperate attempts to convey that something (or someone) has gone terribly, terribly wrong… With surprising twists, spine-tingling turns, and a setting that proves as uncomfortably claustrophobic as it is eerily beautiful, Ruth Ware offers up another taut and intense read in The Woman in Cabin 10—one that will leave even the most sure-footed reader restlessly uneasy long after the last page is turned.

From New York Times bestselling author of the “twisty-mystery” (Vulture) novel In a Dark, Dark Wood, comes The Woman in Cabin 10, an equally suspenseful and haunting novel from Ruth Ware—this time, set at sea.

Eerily suspenseful thriller

This was my second foray into the world of Ruth Ware, and it did not disappoint. In typical Ruth fashion, this story takes a while to really grab your attention: she spends what feels like an almost painful amount of time developing each character and setting the scene...and then all of a sudden, BAM! She sucks you in. And it is sooo worth the wait. Once the plot finally reveals itself to you, you can't turn the story off. And just when you think you've figured it all out...you realize you haven't. Ruth is a master of disguise and will keep you guessing until the very end. Can't recommend this book enough if you're a fan of subtle suspense and mystery.

Keeps you listening

This book will take you on a ride on which you will never know where you are going from one point to another and you will be thrilled. The Reader does a great job with the voices and in giving the main character teeth. Enjoy.

Solid suspenseful fiction

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book and ended up listening far too late in the night. I'm glad I bought it because it's one I'm going to want to listen to again and again.
