Enjoyable read with flaws

I liked the story, the characters and the setting. Overall I enjoyed reading this book. However...
- A lot of fast-paced "character hopping"
- Characters sometimes don't realize obvious things in front of them
- Sometimes narration feels a bit detached. E.g. lightning strike kills an assassin in close proximity => characters should be a bit upset
