Story

A well worn story line made fresh

Here is a book with a well-worn plot seen on TV and motion pictures, but in the hands of Chevy Stevens, there’s freshness to a mother and daughter trying to start over when ex-husband is imprisoned. Once he’s served his time, the story becomes fear inducing and keeps the tension high. Starting with what appears to be the excitement of Andrew and Lindsey finding love and the desire to start a family. Unfortunately, distrust sets in and Lindsey is placed in the unenviable position of trying to protect herself and daughter from an abusive husband. What sets this thriller apart from most is the constant believable cause and effect experiences the whole family finds themselves in, do in no small part to the narration by Rachel Fulginiti and Caitlin Davies. For anyone who appreciates a constant threat to your senses, this is a listen worth your time.
