Excellent, but less "Bryson-y"
- Bill Bryson is an author well known for his research, writing and humor. This audio book has 2 of those. It's a great book, written beautifully (if you are going to write a book about Shakespeare you better know how to put a sentence together) and offers well cited sources for facts (and some opinions) on Shakespeare that are truly awe inspiring. You feel this may very well have been a labour of love for Mr. Bryson. Now, this being said, Bill Bryson's usual humor that pervades most of his books is much less present in this tome. This is no complaint. BUT, buyer/renter beware, if that is what you are looking for...it ain't there. I still highly recommend this book for insight into "the bard".
