Wess Stafford is President and Chief Executive Officer of Compassion International. He joined the organization in 1977 and has worked with the ministry, both overseas and at headquarters for over thirty years. He has served as president since 1993. He lives on a small ranch near Colorado Springs, Colorado with his wife of thirty-two years. They have two daughters.

Dean Merrill is the author of several books and the coauthor of more than twenty others. He has also been published in more than forty Christian magazines. His career has included editorships at Campus Life, David C. Cook, Leadership Journal, Christian Herald, and Focus on the Family. He was also vice president and publisher at International Bible Society for seven years. He has since worked full time on independent writing. His education includes a bachelor of theology degree from Chicago Bible College and a master of arts degree in journalism from Syracuse University. He and his wife live in Colorado Springs.
