Mere Christianity is C. S. Lewis’s forceful and accessible doctrine on Christian belief. First heard as informal radio broadcasts and then published as three separate books—The Case for Christianity, Christian Behavior, and Beyond Personality—Mere Christianity brings together what Lewis sees as the fundamental truths of his religion. Rejecting the boundaries that divide Christianity’s many denominations, C. S. Lewis finds a common ground on which all those who have Christian faith can stand together, proving that “at the center of each there is something, or a Someone, who against all divergences of belief, all differences of temperament, all memories of mutual persecution, speaks with the same voice.”

An enlightening look at Christianity
-
C. S. Lewis has a way with words. He is a brilliant theologian, and the way he expresses his thoughts and ideas is so clear and enlightening. I was born and raised in a Christian household, so for me he was “preaching to the choir,” but I still found myself surprised by some of the things he said, put in ways I’d never thought of before. Ralph Cosham’s narration is quite enjoyable. His voice is very pleasant to listen to, and he is an extremely capable reader. Since listening to this book I have sought out other things he’s read as well.
No matter what your beliefs, whether your searching for answers or think you already have the answers, I recommend “Mere Christianity,” if only to get a glimpse inside the brilliant mind of C. S. Lewis.
