Slow Beginning, Lyrical speach

The best part of Victoria Roth's writing is the way she constructs sentences. I think the way she writes is beautiful. The hardest part for me was the slow moving beat of the first 2/3. Even parts where Tris is imprisoned and hardly surviving are muted.
There's a lot of pain, fear and death in this book. The twists kept me interested and wanting more. This is a lot more internally descriptive rather than externally descriptive. Divergent was written while Veronica Roth was in college, I hope that her next books will have the same great internal dialogue, but with more external dialogue. All in all, Tris is a woman of very few words.
