Eric Nylund is a New York Times bestselling and World Fantasy Award–nominated author of several novels. He is the head writer for Microsoft Game Studios where he helps shape the intellectual property for some the world’s best video game developers. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in theoretical chemical physics.

Kenneth Oppel is the author of numerous books for young readers. Jon Scieszka is the National Ambassador for Children’s Literature emeritus and the bestselling author of more than twenty-five books for kids, including The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales; Math Curse; and the Frank Einstein series. He founded Guys Read to encourage a passion for reading among young boys, with the philosophy that boys love to read most when they are reading things they love. He is a former elementary school teacher.

Some of his other works include Stonewall Hinkleman and the Battle of Bull Run and The Qwikpick Adventure Society. Previously, he worked as a columnist for the Roanoke Times. He lives with his wife, Cece Bell, also an author and illustrator, in Christianburg, Virginia.
