Nicholaï Hel is the man!
- I really enjoyed this novel. My son recommend it to me a number of time and I finally gave it a shot. The story and its characters really pull you in right from the start. I found myself listening to the book late into the night and finished it in five days. Nicholaï Hel is an amazing character and I sure wish the author would have written a follow up to this story. Joe Barrett did a great job on the narration I would highly recommend this to others.

One of the best!
- I read this book 10+ years ago and to this day it stands out as one of my favorites. I listened to Joe Barrett's narration recently and he did an amazing job. There is a reason this one continues to have a following even though it's a bit dated. I would highly recommend you give it a chance.

Trevanian (Rodney Whitaker, 1931–2005) was the bestselling author of Shibumi, The Eiger Sanction, The Loo Sanction, The Main, The Summer of Katya, and Incident at Twenty-Mile.
