Editorial Reviews

“There is a little of Flashman in all of us—but not enough.” Evening Standard
“In our crass, humourless, anaemic, politically correct age, there could be no better tonic or treat than the outrageous Flashy’s bold descriptions of action in battle or bedroom. To relish George MacDonald Fraser is to rediscover the joy of reading.” Daily Telegraph
As irreverent and picaresque as Tom Jones and always more dramatic… Flashman is a one-man demolition squad! Chicago Today
Marvelously entertaining… A delight! Providence Journal
Raises dastardliness to the level of an art… One of the most amusing and sardonic novels I have ever read! Omaha World
Great dirty fun! Grand Rapids Press
Hilariously funny. The New York Times Book Review
The most entertaining anti-hero in a long time… Moves from one ribald and deliciously corrupt episode to the next… Wonderful and scandalous. Publishers Weekly

Story

One of my favorite books of all time

I have many author's that I like but no one tell's a story like George MacDonald Fraser, may he RIP.He is not only a great writer but probably the greatest story teller of all time with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle coming in second, respectfully. I listened to the audiobook and David West did an excellent job narrating, may he also RIP.Once you listen to Flashman,no doubt you will be anxious to find the remaining novels and see what new adventures Flashy falls into in those. He is one of the greatest characters ever and I am so happy I was able to find these books.
