Nice Summary Overview

This audiobook is well written and well narrated. It is written for children of about eight to twelve years old. It goes through Babe Ruth’s whole life chronologically—a truly amazing life, actually—and it doesn’t turn a blind eye to his faults. But, as is suitable for youth, it notes his misdeeds without going into graphic detail. As an adult, I enjoyed this book, too, since I wanted more of a summary of the Babe’s life rather than a long, detailed biography. This audiobook includes a disc with photos, statistics, charts, and even a map of the east coast showing the location of the cities where his teams were. I highly recommend this book. And since this book is part of a series, it leads me to want to listen to the others in this Great Americans in Sports series.
