Editorial Reviews

“A vital resource and tool that should be required reading for every concerned citizen.” Francine Rivers, New York Times bestselling author
“Belles doesn’t mince words when it comes to describing human trafficking: it is slavery…Nicol Zanzarella’s powerful, lucent narration keeps the listener engaged despite the grim subject matter…Recommended for all public library collections for, as Belles notes, no area of the United States is safe from human trafficking.” Library Journal (audio review)
“Information is power. In this well-written, arresting book, we have the information we need to defend those we love most.” Frank Schaeffer, author of Why I Am an Atheist Who Believes in God
“The aptly titled In Our Backyard is superb. Belles compellingly calls for action based on the truth that every human life is of equal, enormous value.” Mark Lagon, former US ambassador and director of the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons
“The author’s message on human trafficking is grave, so Nicol Zanzarella treats it accordingly in her narration…Belles is knowledgeable in this arena, and Zanzarella delivers her message with appropriate respect and tone.” AudioFile
