Life Is Over When You Decide
-
Coming from someone who has so legendarily kept moving, this is an excellent and spirited book. Dick Van Dyke’s vigor and open-mindedness in his ninetieth year of life gives me hope for the ever-expanding elderly set should they follow his advice. His message of “keep moving” and to always keep learning are inspiring and repeatedly convey the same message: You’re not dead until you’re dead, so keep living life to the fullest.
This book is filled with so many funny moments. Some of my favorite parts of the book are those in which Dick describes scenes between his lively self and his six years younger crotchety and broken down brother Jerry. His impersonations of Jerry are awesome, exactly what you’d expect of two close-knit siblings. In fact this whole book is special precisely because it’s read by the man himself, Dick Van Dyke.
