Warren Adler (1927–2019) wrote numerous novels, including The War of the Roses and Random Hearts, which were both made into major motion pictures. A product of the New York public school system, he graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School and New York University. He has worked for the New York Daily News and the Queens Post.
