Author Bio: Timothy Greenfield-Sanders

Timothy Greenfield-Sanders is highly regarded for his strikingly intimate portraits of world leaders and major cultural figures. He graduated from Columbia University with a degree in art history before receiving a Master’s from the American Film Institute. Fifteen books and catalogs have been published on his portraiture. His photography has appeared in prestigious collections such as those from the Museum of Modern Art and the New York Public Libraray. As of 2004, he had permanent collections at both the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. His films The Latino List and About Face—which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival—both aired on HBO in 2011 and 2012, respectively. He is on the masthead as a contributing photographer at Vanity Fair magazine and was profiled on 60 Minutes in 2005.
