“Outlandish gizmos and snappy, slangy dialogue go with the territory in this comic book-like story.” Booklist

Black Power

The Black Stars is thrilling, kinetic and full of energy. It moves at a perfect pace, and you can tell reader Kirby Heyborne truly understood what he was reading by the words he chose to accentuate, the length of beats (pauses) he chose to incorporate, and the organic feel of the characters voice he channels. These are the types of sci-fi books that you just know will make it to the big screen five minutes in. I can’t help think author Dan Krokos had that in mind at the outset. What a great book. More please!
