- I am very interested in this audio book. I just want to make sure that it is a COMPLETE collection. Every description I've read states that it has 4 novels and more than 40 short stories...But does it have all 56 short stories?

- I’ve read every Sherlock Holmes story Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ever wrote, so I wanted to give this audio a try. I love it! Simon Vance is a brilliant narrator. His diction, tone … everything is great. Since I’m already familiar with the stories I love to just have this on in the background when I’m doing things around the house, and then I’ll sit down and pay closer attention to my favorite parts of the various stories. If you haven’t read the Sherlock Holmes stories yet and prefer audio books to print books, this is a great version to go with. They’re all right here in one audiobook. It does make it more difficult if you want to hop around to a particular story or novel, but that’s a small price to pay, I feel. I’ve listened to other Sherlock Holmes recordings, and so far this is my favorite.

Author Bio: Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859–1930) was a writer and physician most noted for his fictional stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, the first scientific detective, which are generally considered milestones in the field of crime fiction. Before becoming a writer, he attended the University of Edinburgh to train as a physician, and it was from his teacher, Joseph Bell, that he learned much of what would inspire Holmes’s skills of deduction. He also wrote science fiction stories, historical novels, plays, romances, poetry, and nonfiction. After his son Kingsley died in the first World War, he became a convert to spiritualism and a social reformer who used his investigative skills to prove the innocence of individuals.
