- This audio book was well done and it was easy to listen too. It gave you a front seat view to a wild ride. In this personal story it reveals the corruption in our legal system. This is an interesting story definitely worth listening too. A learning experience for sure!

Excellent audio that takes you on the journey!
- This audio book takes you through one man's journey and fills you with compassion as you learn about the twists and turns that it takes. A very interesting look inside the prison system and what happens once you are on the other side. I learned a lot from this audio and enjoyed the adventure!

This story gives you eye opening view on the U.S. penitentiary or “correctional “ institution.
I could compare story of the author with main character of the Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.
When there is a crime committed, there should be a just penalty. Still, Such penalty should not be revengeful .
There must be a second chance given to a poor soul, chance to learn from mistakes. After long time served in prison, the freedom should be given as an opportunity to start new life. As Jean Valjean had his “guardian evil angel” Police inspector Javert, so too, S.A.LaPoint had, and still has his correction officer, bent on destroying his life. S.A.LaPoint had no choice. He explained perfectly why he have chosen “The Escape To Cabo”

- Wow...just finished listening to The Escape to Cabo. Great audio experience! Lively with lots of action and interesting personalities! Felt like I could have been Scottys brother. Who knows how we make choices in this life, but we are all human and need understanding and compassion. When dealt a bad hand who knows what we will do to survive. Sometimes a drastic escape is the only answer! What would I have done in Scottys shoes? Whose to know. This story shares a glimpse of how life's challenges are met with tough decisions. Interesting, revealing, enlightening. I'm going to listen to it again!

Powerful true story
- I loved this real life cautionary tale about how one bad spontaneous decision can cause you to loose your freedom, your family connections and in this case, your country. From beginning to end, you find this character to be extremely likable. I sympathized with how he got caught up in an unforgiving and unfair parole system which caused him to flee the US and now is unable to return even after serving his full sentence.

- An audio experience right out of the movies! Characters, sound affects that have you at the scene. So good!!! Loved it...couldn't stop listening...sat in my car for a few more chapters. The narrator keeps you glued to the story. Very emotional! Will listen again to catch details I missed the first time...
