Robert Evans is Cray Cray

I admit I got this audio book merely because I had heard the rumor of the "insane" delivery and writing. It's a sort of legendary audio book because of the way that Robert Evans writes and reads it. (Patton Oswalt, rather famously riffed on it in one of his stand up specials). Objectively speaking...yeah...it's pretty weird. Robert Evans went from a matinee idol to studio head very quickly, very early. And he INSISTS on telling you how much he enjoyed himself...ad nauseum. To be fair, he also produced some of the most legendary films of all time, so that libertine lifestyle seemed to work for him. In regards to Mr. Evans narration...well...his voice is deep and gravelly with a thick New York accent. The updated prologue has a "new" narration and this is that same voice, 15 years later and after a stroke. Frankly, I enjoyed this... but wow you have to be in the mood for it.
