Story

A great GREAT audio book!

I do admit that I saw (and enjoyed) the filmed version of this first and I also admit I was given a copy of the audio book in anticipation of a cross country car trip (don't judge me!). This is truly a wonderful audio book and Simon Vance clearly enjoyed the narration. After a little research he admits that it is in fact one of his favorite audio books that he has ever worked on. It clearly shows in this beautiful performance. Even if you hated the film (I don't know anyone that did) you'll still LOVE this audio book!

Better than the movie.

I did not know this was a book first. The movie is one of my favorites. When I started the book it was so different than the movie. The character development and their history was so much more . I wish the movie would have followed the book more.

Christopher Priest has won the World Fantasy Award and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize and in 2001 was awarded the Prix Utopia for lifetime achievement in fantastic literature. He is married to the writer Leigh Kennedy. They live in Hastings, England, with their two children.
