Once an aristocrat in the heady days of pre-revolutionary France, now a rock star in the demonic, shimmering 1980s, he rushes through the centuries in search of others like him, seeking answers to the mystery of his eternal, terrifying exsitence. His is a mesmerizing story—passionate, complex, and thrilling. Praise for The Vampire Lestat   “Frightening, sensual . . . Anne Rice will live on through the ages of literature. . . . could not put it down! and didn't want to.

This is the first book I ever read that I almost cried when I read the last page. It was the LAST PAGE! Now what was I going to read?
This is the brilliant sequel to INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE and is every bit as good, if not better. When I found out it had been released, I left work that minute and went to the book store and bought it, went home (to hell with work) and started reading.
Anne Rice is the Queen of vampire novels and she excels with every word. There is no dippy love story or drippy women hot for vampire studs. This is a VAMPIRE novel and that's what it's about.
Trust Anne Rice to write the best Vampire novels ever, because she does!
