Short on experience and long on the imitated swagger of the detectives found in his dog-eared collection of pulp fiction P.I. mysteries, the quick-witted Sam waits for his big break—and his chance to win the heart of Amelia, his Girl Friday.

But when his no-nonsense father is murdered and becomes a Return himself, everything changes. Sam sets out to find his father's killer, only to find himself caught up in a madcap game of Cold War intrigue.
