I Am Still Here

This essay talks about something that happened on July 29,2003. My life changed for ever after I had a hemorrhagic stroke when I was only 37 years of age. This happened at the end of the day at my job - when all of the sudden I had a very bad headache. I had two Craniotomy's and 5 orthopedic surgeries over 5 years (from 2003 - 2007). I was in rehab for 19 months and I talk about - Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech while I was there. I feel that even after 19 years I am still recovering and I still have hope for advances in stem cells that might help me with balance and right sided weakness.
