The Throne of Chiang Rung
The Throne of Chiang Rung
A Historical Romance Beyond Borders
Amidst the mist-veiled valleys of the Mekong, deep in the southern realm of China,
Chiang Rung still breathes - fragrant with the memory of its golden past,
echoing through the ancient halls of its royal palace.
In this timeless tale, The Throne of Chiang Rung unfolds not merely as a love story,
but as a tapestry woven from heritage, memory, and power.
It is a story where hearts must choose between duty and desire,
legacy and freedom, the crown and the beloved.
The Ancient Kingdom of Chiang Rung
Once known as the Kingdom of the Golden Hall, Chiang Rung flourished in the region of
Sipsongpanna, Yunnan Province, Southern China.
It stood as a radiant center of Tai civilization -
a land deeply intertwined with the cultures of Southern China and the Mekong Basin.
Founded in 1703 A.D., Chiang Rung was once part of the Lanna Kingdom,
governing under a system of Twelve Principalities (Sipsongpanna) -
each a realm of its own, bound by tradition, faith, and the river's eternal song.
