The Candy War and other stories

1. The Candy War: A sugary conflict where Chocolate Soft Centers conquered Sweet Country but immediately lost it all arguing over whose tiny piece of icing counted as better land.

2. The Sea Trolls: A family caught in a storm is rescued by five shy, monstrous, seaweed-covered creatures that the father swore were just something he "made up".

3. The Royal Bedsheets: Two warring royal enemies end centuries of hatred and fall in love, thanks to ordinary, scent-sharing bedsheets accidentally swapped by the wind.

4. The Magic Painting: Three children and their dog use a magical ladder to enter a picture, finally providing models for the miserable artist who complained kids "ask so many stupid questions".

5. The Jealous Christmas Decorations: Annoyed by the family's obsession with the new painting, the ornaments stage a coup, devour all the food, open the presents, and end up snoring and overstuffed on the tree.

6. The Favourite Story: Henning's favourite story got so tired of being read nightly that all its words bundled up and abandoned the book in protest, leaving behind embarrassed drawings.
